Travel Day

After leaving the church at 10:00pm Honduras time on Tuesday night, we finally made it our hotel in La Ceiba at 4:30 in the afternoon on Wednesday. Here is some of the team hanging out at LAX before the trip.

From LAX we flew to El Salvador. It was about a 5 hour flight and most of the team tried to sleep or passed the time by watching Secretariat and You Again. We landed safely in El Salvador and spent less than an hour in the airport before loading our plane for the last leg of our trip. Here's a picture from inside the San Salvador airport.

After an hour long flight we finally landed in Honduras and were greeted by Coca-Cola.

We had breakfast on our flight from LAX to El Salvador. Here is Kaili describing her breakfast while we waited for the rental cars.

The biggest hitch in our day was waiting for the rental cars. We waited for about two hours until our final rental car showed up. Some of the team passed the time by playing Ninja in the airport. I think some of the Hondurans were confused.

Not everyone participated in Ninja. Tommy decided to take a nap.

We eventually left the airport and made our way to La Ceiba. We're getting settled in for our first night in Honduras and are really excited to start working tomorrow. Check back tomorrow and hopefully we'll have some updates from our first day on the site.
